Support Worker

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated Support Worker to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility support. 
• Community Engagement: Accompany and support clients during social outings, appointments, recreational activities, and shopping trips. 
• Skill Development: Guide clients in building practical life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and utilising public transport. 
• Emotional Support: Provide meaningful companionship, active listening, and a safe environment built on trust and respect. 
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely progress notes and incident reports in line with organisational policies.  

About You (Selection Criteria)

• Qualifications: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or a related field (or a willingness to obtain).
• Experience: Prior experience in a support worker, care, or community-based role is highly regarded, but a genuine passion for helping others is essential.
• Core Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to adapt to changing client needs.
• Compliance Requirements:

• Valid Driver Licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle registered in your name.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates. 
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC)
• Valid National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or relevant state equivalent).
