Team Leader – WSUD (Water Sensitive Urban Design Assets) 📍 Based at Yatala Depot | Servicing sites across the Gold Coast region
Step into a hands-on team leading role where you’ll help shape greener, more sustainable communities by maintaining and enhancing vital water-sensitive urban design assets across the Gold Coast region.
About the Role Reporting to the WSUD Manager, you’ll lead a small crew working to protect and enhance natural water systems within urban environments. This is a dynamic, field-based role where no two days are the same, combining leadership, technical know-how, and on-the-ground work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support a team in the delivery of water system maintenance works
- Plan tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure work is completed efficiently and safely
- Carry out routine maintenance including vegetation management, weed removal, landscaping duties, brush cutting and chemical spraying
- Conduct site inspections to ensure assets are functioning effectively and meeting environmental standards
- Complete administrative tasks such as reporting, job tracking, and documentation
- Maintain clear communication with management, providing updates on team performance, site conditions, and any issues
About You
- Proven experience in landscaping maintenance
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with management and crew members
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Driver’s licence (essential)
- White card (essential)
