Description

Team Leader – WSUD (Water Sensitive Urban Design Assets) 📍 Based at Yatala Depot | Servicing sites across the Gold Coast region

Step into a hands-on team leading role where you’ll help shape greener, more sustainable communities by maintaining and enhancing vital water-sensitive urban design assets across the Gold Coast region.

About the Role Reporting to the WSUD Manager, you’ll lead a small crew working to protect and enhance natural water systems within urban environments. This is a dynamic, field-based role where no two days are the same, combining leadership, technical know-how, and on-the-ground work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support a team in the delivery of water system maintenance works
  • Plan tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure work is completed efficiently and safely
  • Carry out routine maintenance including vegetation management, weed removal, landscaping duties, brush cutting and chemical spraying
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure assets are functioning effectively and meeting environmental standards
  • Complete administrative tasks such as reporting, job tracking, and documentation
  • Maintain clear communication with management, providing updates on team performance, site conditions, and any issues

About You

  • Proven experience in landscaping maintenance  
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with management and crew members
  • Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Driver’s licence (essential)
  • White card (essential)
