The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator with strong high-rise construction experience to join our delivery team.

This role will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of major projects, with a strong focus on subcontractor procurement, trade package management, cost control, and project delivery support.

The successful candidate will work closely with project manager, site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to drive programme, commercial, and delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Subcontract & Commercial Management

  • Manage subcontract agreements across multiple trades and project packages
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, tendering, scope review, and contract negotiations
  • Develop and manage subcontractor package scopes and procurement schedules
  • Review and assess subcontractor variations, claims, progress payments, and EOT submissions
  • Monitor project costs, forecasting, cash flow, and commercial reporting
  • Support project commercial performance, risk management, and cost control initiatives

Project Delivery Support

  • Build and maintain strong subcontractor and supplier relationships
  • Identify, source, and engage suitable subcontractors across project trades
  • Work closely with site and project teams to ensure subcontractor performance and programme delivery
  • Assist in resolving commercial and contractual issues during construction
  • Support value engineering and procurement optimisation initiatives

About You

  • Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field
  • 8–12+ years’ experience within the Australian construction industry
  • Strong experience delivering high-rise residential or mixed-use projects (15+ storeys or $50M+ projects)
  • Proven experience managing subcontractor procurement and trade packages across large-scale projects
  • Strong understanding of subcontractor market capability, pricing, and procurement strategy
  • Solid knowledge of Australian standard contracts and subcontract administration
  • Extensive experience in variations, claims, EOTs, and cost management
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proficient in CostX, Excel, Bluebeam, and related software
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Desirable

  • Experience working on Tier 1 or Tier 2 projects highly regarded
  • Membership with AIQS or RICS (or working towards)
  • Experience mentoring junior CA team members
