Allied Health Assistant/ Therapeutic Support

Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Casual Allied Health Assistant to support young children’s social and emotional development and daily routines.

Working under the guidance of a qualified Allied Health Professional, you will provide hands-on support and assist with implementing individualised therapy programs to help children engage, learn and thrive. This role suits someone passionate about early childhood development and making a meaningful difference for families.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitating engaging activities to enhance social skills, emotional regulation, and play.
• Assisting children and families in developing and maintaining effective daily routines (e.g., morning routines, meal times, bedtime).
• Documenting progress and communicating effectively with the supervising therapist.
• Creating a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment for children.

Essential Requirements:

• You must either hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance, Disability, Early Childhood Education, etc.) OR be actively working towards a professional qualification in a relevant field.
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Willingness to successfully undertake a Police Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Excellent communication, patience, and a positive, empathetic attitude.
