Be part of the team at the Great Aussie Bush Camp that makes guests feel at home!

Do you take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces? Love staying active, organised and being part of a supportive team? We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to help keep our centre sparkling and ready for every guest experience.

This is a hands‑on, casual role where your work truly makes a difference — from first impressions to final clean‑ups.

About the role

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms, bathrooms, accommodation areas and shared spaces. Working independently and alongside a friendly team, you’ll play an essential role in making sure our centre feels safe, fresh and welcoming for students, teachers and visitors. Your attention to detail helps set the tone for an unforgettable stay.

What you’ll be doing

  • Cleaning and preparing guest and teacher accommodation
  • Making beds, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting and sanitising spaces
  • Maintaining bathrooms, amenities and shared facilities
  • Supporting laundry tasks and linen care
  • Safely using and storing cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Following hygiene, safety and child‑safe practices
  • Pitching in where needed to support the wider team

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in housekeeping or cleaning (great, but not essential)
  • A positive attitude and pride in high standards of cleanliness
  • Reliability, punctuality and good time management
  • Ability to follow safety and hygiene procedures
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team

What you’ll need

  • Legal right to work in Australia
  • Current (or willingness to obtain) Working with Children Check
  • A commitment to WHS, hygiene and child‑safe policies

Child Safe Commitment

Our Child Safe Commitment is to ensure that every child and young person has the right to be safe and protected. We believe that all young people have the right to grow and learn in an environment which is caring and nurturing.  In line with this commitment, all staff must hold and maintain a current Working with Children Check (WWC) as a condition of employment with us.

If you enjoy leaving spaces better than you found them and like being part of a team that cares, we’d love to hear from you!
