About the Role

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you’ll be responsible for coordinating, developing and delivering learning and development initiatives that support onboarding, compliance, competency, and capability development.

Working closely with operational leaders, trainers and subject matter experts, you’ll deliver training, maintain compliance requirements, administer the Learning Management System (LMS), and develop learning solutions that support business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging onboarding, workshop, and workplace-based training programs.
  • Conduct competency assessments, including Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments.
  • Coordinate training activities, compliance requirements and qualification renewals.
  • Identify capability gaps, training risks and development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain learning resources, assessments, SOP-based training materials, facilitator guides, and eLearning content.
  • Administer the LMS, training matrices, competency records and compliance reporting.
  • Analyse training data and provide insights on compliance, effectiveness and capability development.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders, trainers, quality teams, safety teams and external providers.
  • Drive continuous improvement across learning systems, programs and processes.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in Learning & Development, Training Coordination or a similar role.
  • Experience delivering workplace training, inductions, workshops and competency assessments.
  • Experience developing learning resources, assessments and training materials.
  • Experience administering an LMS and managing training records, compliance matrices and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of training compliance, competency management and adult learning principles.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

Highly Regarded

  • Experience within aviation, airline catering, food manufacturing, logistics, or another regulated environment.
  • Experience developing eLearning content and competency frameworks.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Learning & Development, Education, Human Resources, Psychology, Adult Education or a related discipline.
