We’re looking for a Catering Operations Officer to join our Melbourne team and play a key role in ensuring airline catering is prepared, checked and coordinated to the highest standards before it reaches our customers.

About the Role

This is a hands-on operational role that sits at the heart of our airline catering operation.

Working within a fast-paced environment, you’ll be responsible for preparing and coordinating airline catering, conducting quality checks, maintaining accurate records and ensuring flights are catered accurately and on schedule. Attention to detail, teamwork and a commitment to quality are essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, check and stage airline catering carts, equipment and products to ensure flights are catered accurately and on time.
• Replenish and organise catering setups in line with customer requirements and operational schedules.
• Conduct quality and compliance checks, including product verification, expiry date monitoring and temperature checks.
• Maintain accurate records and update operational systems to support catering and flight requirements.
• Work collaboratively with production, logistics and airside teams to ensure customer requirements are met and flights depart on schedule.
• Uphold food safety, quality, hygiene and workplace safety standards in all aspects of your work.

Essential Requirements

• Experience in catering, logistics, warehouse or operational environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate documentation.
• Availability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Highly Regarded

• Experience in airline catering or aviation operations.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality systems.
• Experience using inventory or operational management systems.
• HR Driver’s Licence.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically active role requiring a good level of fitness. Team members regularly:

• Lift, carry and move catering products, stock and equipment.
• Push and manoeuvre airline carts.
• Spend extended periods standing and walking.
• Work in chilled and operational production environments.
• Perform repetitive manual handling tasks throughout their shift.
