We’re looking for experienced Airside Catering Driver to join our Melbourne operation and play an important role in ensuring aircraft are serviced safely, accurately and on schedule.

About the Role

This is a diverse, hands-on role in a fast-paced airport environment where teamwork, customer service and attention to detail are critical.

Working closely with airline crew, airport stakeholders and fellow team members, you’ll help ensure aircraft departures run smoothly by supporting catering, servicing and operational activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security and compliance.

Driving forms part of the role, however success is equally dependent on your ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and perform to tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure airline catering, equipment and onboard service items are delivered accurately, safely and on time to support scheduled aircraft departures.
• Work closely with cabin crew, airline representatives and operational teams to ensure catering requirements are met and any issues are resolved efficiently.
• Load, unload and transfer catering carts, equipment and supplies between aircraft, vehicles and operational areas.
• Support aircraft servicing activities while maintaining strict food safety, security and quality standards.
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment within airside and airport environments.
• Complete operational documentation and compliance requirements accurately and on time.
• Contribute to a positive, safety-focused team culture and assist with operational activities across the catering operation as require.

Essential Requirements

• Current ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
• Current ADA (Airside Driver Authority)
• Current HR Driver’s Licence
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance
• Availability to work rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays
• Full Australian working rights

Highly Regarded

• Experience in aviation, logistics, catering, transport or operational environments
• Experience working in customer-focused roles
• Sound computer literacy and administrative skills

Physical Requirements

This is a physically active role requiring a good level of fitness. Team members regularly:

• Push and manoeuvre airline service carts weighing approximately 15-20kg
• Lift, pull and move catering equipment and stock
• Spend extended periods standing and walking
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Operate in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines is critical
