**The role**
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on **Business Manager** to lead our daily operations and support the next stage of our growth. Reporting directly to the owner, you will act as the right hand of the business and take responsibility for people, processes and customer experience.
You will be managing a small team of 2–6 staffs, overseeing both operations and customer service, while helping the business expand its services and client base.
**Key responsibilities**
– Oversee daily business operations as the go-to person for staff and clients
– Manage rostering, training and staff development for a team of 2–6 staffs
– Handle client enquiries, bookings and retail operations
– Support grooming and daycare staff during busy periods (e.g. bathing, drying – no grooming required, but grooming knowledge is essential)
– Ensure smooth operations including cash handling and problem-solving
– Drive business growth and support expansion, including future hiring opportunities
**What we are looking for**
We welcome applicants from different professional backgrounds who are ready to step into leadership within the pet industry. You may have experience as a:
– Retail Supervisor or Small Business Manager
– Vet Nurse with a passion for management
– Team Leader from a pet-related or service industry
**Essential qualities:**
– Strong leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills
– A genuine love for dogs and excellent customer service focus
– Basic knowledge of pet grooming (training will be provided)
– Hands-on, adaptable and supportive team player
– **Fluent English (written and spoken)**
– **Australian PR or Citizenship required**
