Quality Assurance Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance officer who is looking to put their training into practice. The SOEL Quality Assurance department has been systematically developed to monitor and assess compliance under the legislating guidelines for childcare, including but not limited to the seven areas of the National Quality Framework in alignment with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Laws, Local Government, Health Department, and FSANZ guidelines.

This new position will be on a part-time basis working 22.5 hours per week based at our Wembley Head Office, located on Salvado Road.

The Person

We are seeking someone that has high attention to detail, be able to prioritise accordingly, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, work with minimal supervision and the ability to multi-task and meet the required deadlines.

The successful person must:

  • Be internal audit and HACCP trained
  • Be proficient in writing and updating of SOP’s
  • Have a background in food safety, quality assurance and risk assessment activities
  • Have excellent report writing and written communication skills
  • Have a good rapport with external contractors
  • Must be proficient in word and other MS office suites
  • Have the ability to act responsibly, confidently and with discretion
  • The Role

    The purpose of this role as Quality Assurance Officer is to travel across the six SOEL childcare centres to assist with compliance checks and internal audits to ensure that SOEL policies, procedures, and practices are in line with the regulations.

    The role will include the following tasks:

  • Supporting the QA Manager in overseeing work, Health, and Safety compliance
  • Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by helping to examine records, reports, operating practices and documentation
  • Responsible for inputting and updating QA data and helping to maintain the integrity of all on-site QA records
  • Help to ensure all employees are adequately inducted and trained in quality and food safety policies and procedures
  • Work with the QA Manager to maintain and update quality manuals, procedures, systems and work documentation
  • Help to prepare and manage internal quality audits and assist with external quality audits
  • Experience in ISO, SQF, HACCP, Food safety Management Systems, Internal auditing
  • Ad hoc tasks as directed by the QA manager
