We are leaders in archaeological investigations, heritage assessment, and cultural heritage management. Our Sydney team is seeking a passionate Historical Archaeologist to contribute to exciting projects that shape Australia’s heritage future.

About the Role

As a Heritage Advisor – Historical Archaeology, you will:

• Manage and deliver commercial consultancy projects.

• Undertake archaeological surveys, excavations, and site assessments.

• Prepare high-quality heritage reports and impact assessments.

• Engage with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders.

• Apply your expertise to conserve and interpret heritage places.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree in Archaeology (Honours or equivalent), with a focus on Australian archaeology.

• Demonstrated knowledge of historical archaeological sites and cultural heritage management

in Australia.

• Experience in archaeological fieldwork, site recording, and assessment.

• Strong understanding of relevant heritage legislation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Current driver’s licence and Construction Industry Safety Induction (White Card).

Desirable

• Consulting experience in a commercial environment.

• First Aid Certificate.

• Experience in conservation or interpretation.
