The Role
The Risk & Compliance Analyst supports the delivery of Evidentia Group’s risk and compliance framework, helping ensure the business continues to meet its regulatory obligations and maintain a strong culture of governance.
Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, the role plays an integral part in the day-to-day operation of Evidentia’s risk and compliance function. This role supports regulatory compliance, risk management, governance activities, policy development, and stakeholder engagement to help Evidentia meet its AFSL obligations and strengthen its risk and compliance capability across the business.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Evidentia’s risk and compliance framework
- Maintain key risk and compliance registers, including incidents and breaches, complaints, conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, obligations and controls, and training records
- Manage and respond to internal and external enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate the Compliance Calendar and monitor completion of recurring compliance obligations
- Assist with breach and complaint assessments, including regulatory reporting where required
- Extract, analyse and report risk and compliance data to support Executive Team oversight and decision-making
- Prepare Risk Committee meeting packs, minutes and follow-up actions
- Assist in the development, review and maintenance of compliance policies, standards and supporting documentation
- Coordinate compliance training programs, including RG146 administration, employee attestations and general compliance awareness initiatives
- Conduct employee compliance induction and ongoing training
- Support compliance reviews and approvals for marketing and promotional materials
- Monitor regulatory developments and assist with implementing legislative and regulatory change across the business
- Support regulatory lodgements, licensing administration and interactions with external regulators
- Participate in risk reviews, control testing, business projects and external AFSL audits
- Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, external compliance and legal partners to support effective risk and compliance outcomes
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline
- Minimum five years’ experience in risk and/or compliance within financial services
- Strong understanding of AFSL obligations and financial services regulatory frameworks
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across the business
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines
- A collaborative, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement
Highly Regarded
- Experience within managed accounts, wealth management, investment management or broader financial services
- Experience supporting ASIC regulatory reporting, AFSL compliance and governance activities
- Experience using risk and compliance management systems
- Exposure to risk committees, internal audits or regulatory change management
- Experience coordinating RG146 training programs
