- Combine your Village Management and Chef/Cook experience in a unique, varied role
- Provide operational leadership and hands-on support across Eureka’s South Australian villages
Are you an experienced Village Manager or community-focused leader who also knows their way around a commercial kitchen?
We’re looking for a permanent Relief Village Manager to provide operational coverage and support across our South Australian seniors living communities.
This is a unique role for someone who enjoys variety, building relationships and stepping into different environments to keep things running smoothly. Alongside supporting the day-to-day operation of our villages, you’ll also use your previous Chef/Cook experience and qualifications to provide hands-on kitchen coverage during periods of leave or absence.
Why Eureka?
Eureka Group Holdings is an ASX-listed provider of affordable rental accommodation for independent seniors and all-age residents across Australia.
Our purpose is to reimagine seniors and all-age rental living, creating communities where people want to belong. As we continue to grow, our people play an important role in ensuring our residents experience welcoming, well-managed and connected communities.
What’s the role?
As our Relief Village Manager for South Australia, you’ll provide short and medium-term operational coverage across our SA village network during periods of leave, vacancies and other operational requirements.
No two weeks will necessarily look the same. You could be supporting one village through a period of leave, helping another team navigate an operational challenge, or stepping into the kitchen to ensure continuity of meal services for our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing hands-on Village Manager coverage across our South Australian communities, supporting residents and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.
- Managing resident and tenancy activities, including enquiries, inspections, documentation, leasing requirements and property management systems.
- Building strong relationships with residents and local teams while supporting community engagement and a positive village environment.
- Overseeing village operations, contractors, maintenance, compliance, safety, occupancy and financial performance.
- Providing Chef/Cook coverage during periods of kitchen leave or absence, ensuring residents continue to receive quality meal services in line with food safety requirements.
The position reports to the Regional Manager and works closely with our Village Teams and Support Office functions.
What’s in it for you?
- $90,000 base salary + superannuation
- Opportunity to earn up to 15% Village Manager Incentive
- Permanent full-time employment with an established and growing Australian organisation
- A varied role where you can genuinely make a difference across multiple communities
- The opportunity to combine your operational leadership, resident service and hospitality experience
- Support from our Regional Operations and Brisbane Support Office teams
What’s it like working for Eureka?
At Eureka, community is at the heart of what we do. Our Village Managers are often the people our residents know best, so we’re looking for someone who understands that great village management is about much more than property and administration.
You’ll be stepping into communities where continuity and familiarity matter. Whether you’re supporting residents, assisting a local team, resolving an operational issue or helping in the kitchen, your ability to quickly build trust and confidently get involved will be key to your success.
As a relief position, regular travel across our South Australian village network will be an inherent part of the role, so you’ll need to enjoy variety and be comfortable working across different locations and communities.
Is this role right for you?
We’re looking for someone with a rare combination of people leadership, operational capability and commercial kitchen experience.
To be successful, you’ll ideally bring:
- Previous experience in village management, property management, seniors living, retirement living, community management or a similar operational environment
- Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook, together with relevant commercial cookery qualifications
- The confidence and willingness to step into the kitchen and provide practical meal-service coverage when required
- Strong resident service, relationship-building and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing competing operational priorities, contractors, facilities, compliance and administration
- Knowledge of tenancy/property management requirements and the ability to quickly learn different village operations
- Strong attention to detail and confidence using property management and business systems
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across South Australia
- Relevant food safety credentials, including a Food Safety Supervisor qualification, or willingness to obtain any required certification.
Relevant property management qualifications/licensing and Senior First Aid will also be highly regarded and may be required depending on the operational requirements of the villages being supported.
