Lead AI Engineer (AI) – Remote

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead AI Engineer to join our purpose led and outcomes driven Product Engineering team. This remote or Hybrid position is pivotal in driving our AI initiatives, enhancing our technological capabilities, and delivering innovative solutions that align with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and the skills to guide our engineering team towards success.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the design and implementation of AI models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and processes.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies.
• Evaluate and optimise AI models for performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain documentation for AI systems and processes.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is desirable but not essential
• Significant experience with AI Tools along with deep commercial experience building web-based applications within a B2B SaaS or fast-paced startup/scale-up environment. Strong hands-on expertise across .NET, C#, MySQL, React, and AWS cloud ecosystem. Experienced with monolithic decomposition and microservices trade-offs.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries .
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deploying AI solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
