About the Role

As the Therapeutic Team Leader, you’ll:

• Lead and develop a team of therapeutic practitioners through supervision, coaching and practice leadership.
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed DFV counselling and therapeutic services.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, funding requirements, organisational policies and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement through service review, quality assurance and program evaluation.
• Monitor program outcomes, risk management and reporting to support effective service delivery.
• Build strong partnerships with government, community and cultural stakeholders.
• Support workforce capability through training, reflective practice and professional development.
• Contribute to organisational leadership, strategic planning and service innovation.
• Champion child safety, cultural safety and inclusive practice.
• Represent the organisation through stakeholder engagement, community education and sector collaboration.

What You Bring

Selection Criteria:

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a human services setting.
• Experience leading, supervising and developing staff and services.
• Strong knowledge of DFV, child safety legislation, risk assessment and information-sharing frameworks.
• Experience in child protection, quality assurance or compliance is highly regarded.
• Experience in therapeutic or counselling services is desirable.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of DFV, trauma-informed practice, therapeutic interventions and safety planning.
• Ability to lead high-quality, evidence-informed service delivery.
• Sound judgement and decision-making in complex and high-risk situations.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to child safety, cultural safety and inclusive practice.
• Ability to build effective partnerships and foster continuous improvement.
• Resilient, adaptable and emotionally intelligent, with strong reflective practice skills.

Mandatory Requirements

• Current Queensland Driver Licence
• Current Blue Card
• National Police Check
