Cornerstone Youth Services Inc. (CSYS) has been dedicated to supporting young people in the community for over a decade. We are the lead agency for the headspace centres in Launceston, Devonport and the satellite centre in Burnie. We also provide a range of other services through our Youth In Mind programs to young people aged 12-25.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate Clinical Services Manager to join our team. This position will be based at our Devonport office with regular Intra-State travel required.  The Clinical Services Manager will provide clinical leadership, governance and oversight across all programs to ensure safe, ethical and evidence-based service delivery.

This is an integral role within the Cornerstone Leadership Team and will be offered on a fixed term, part-time (0.8FTE) basis.

 Role Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership and Governance

  • Provide strategic clinical leadership across Cornerstone Youth Services
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with trauma informed, strength-based and culturally responsive practice frameworks.
  • Maintain oversight of complex cases and high-risk matters/incidents
  • Lead critical incident clinical responses and debriefing processes
  • Embed and monitor the clinical governance framework for the organisation, including ongoing quality improvements and reporting

Supervision and Workforce Development

  • Oversee clinical supervision structures and frameworks for all clinical staff.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Senior Clinicians / Clinical Leads.
  • Ensure clinical escalation pathways are embedded and responsive across the organisation, including for outreach models.
  • Support workforce development and capability.
  • Identify clinical trends, including professional development initiatives to support contemporary, evidence-based practice.
  • Foster a reflective practice culture.

Service Delivery and Program Oversight

  • In conjunction with the Senior Clinical Staff / Clinical Leads:
  • Monitor clinical quality, service delivery outcomes, and interventions fidelity across clinical programs of Cornerstone Youth Services.
  • Support intake and triage processes for complex referrals.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and referrals – including between Cornerstone Youth Services programs and for external referral.
  • Provide guidance on complex risk assessments and safety planning.

Quality, Compliance and Reporting

  • In conjunction with the Leadership Team:
  • Ensure compliance with child safeguarding and mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with other relevant funding and regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead audits and contribute to accreditation processes.
  • Review and analyses service data and outcomes to inform quality improvement and opportunities.
  • Prepare reports for Leadership, Board and External reporting lines as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or a closely related discipline.
  • Current full registration with AHPRA or eligibility for full membership with AASW.
  • Minimum 5 years Clinical experience, including working with children and young people
  • Demonstrated experience in Clinical Leadership and Supervision
