About the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Sous Chef to join our growing team at The Rocks. We have recently renovated our kitchen – so it is an exciting time to join our team! As Restaurant Sous Chef you will work collaboratively with the Head Chef to produce diversified menus in accordance with The Rocks and Events vision!

• Establish the working schedule and organise the work in the kitchen so that everything works efficiently and professionally
• Must show initiative and passion and have great attention to detail
• Produce high quality dishes that follow up the established menu and expected standards
• Be a team player and maintain order and discipline in the kitchen
• Train the kitchen team in order to provide best results in minimum time

Previous Experience required:

• Demonstrated experience as a Chef with proven leadership of a kitchen team
• Adequate professional experience in a good quality restaurant
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal
• Ability to multi task and work under pressure
• Ability to generate ideas for business improvement
• Well-presented professional image by being well-groomed and providing a strong representation of Coral Sea Marina Resort
• Positive, proactive and enthusiastic
