About the Role:

 

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for the alignment of the organisation’s business operations and the HR practices and objectives . The role is a change agent and strategic partner for the business in setting priorities, driving values and delivering business results communication and results.

The HRBP will also provide consultation and coaching to departmental leaders and managers in order to support the business’s vision, mission and overall objective.

The role includes strategic planning, coordination and implementation of complex projects such as culture change, succession planning, workforce planning, change management, and leadership coaching and development, and is responsible for managing industrial and employee relations issues including, Award interpretation, and management of complaints and investigations whilst minimising risk to the business.

Duties:

  • Work under limited direction and operate as a specialist in the HR/IR area.
  • Provide a consultancy service to develop and oversee the implementation of effective business partnering, to establish operational procedures to shape both strategic and operational practices to meet business needs.
  • Provide expert advice and ongoing support on employee relations issues, dispute resolution and industrial advocacy including managing escalated or complex cases where required.
  • Represent Challenge Community Services in interactions with unions, government departments and other organisations as required.
  • Maintain relevant, accurate and forward thinking HR policies and procedures.
  • Mitigation of Industrial Relations Risks
  • Management and support of disciplinary action ensuring legislative compliance.
  • Establish and maintain an exceptional partnership with our stakeholders, ensuring the consistent and effective delivery of People related projects and outcomes to the organisation.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the designated region to support teams, services, and stakeholders.

 

Skills and Experience:

 

Essential:

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources management or related fields.

  • Experience working in a large multi facet organisation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Application of a high level of discipline knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience in the research, design, development, delivery and evaluation of organisational strategies and frameworks, including competency frameworks, performance appraisal and development, measurement and workforce/succession planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in researching, developing, implementing and evaluating cultural change and change management initiatives
  • Demonstrate experience in designing, implementing and evaluating organizational performance systems and process whilst working with organisational leaders to uplift capability of managers, staff members and teams
  • Proven experience working with continuous improvement methodologies
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with key internal stakeholders and key external partners

 Desirable:

  • Extensive relevant experience of 5 years or more
