Cape York Solutions has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Customer Services Agent to join the Opportunity Hub team in Aurukun. The role helps to deliver services and programs to Services Australia customers in community.

The Role:
As Customer Service Agent you’ll identify customer entitlements and access to government and non-government services. Customer interactions are predominantly face-to-face but may also occur via the telephone and by written correspondence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide professional and welcoming customer service to customers
- Assist customers in accessing and using digital services
- Educate and encourage customers to engage with services through online platforms, including myGov and related mobile apps
- Provide advice to customers in relation to their eligibility for access to government entitlements and services
What you’ll need:
- Demonstrated ability to research and apply knowledge of legislation, policy and procedures in relation to the delivery of government entitlements and services
- Demonstrated ability to engage and interact with customers and stakeholders face-to-face, by telephone and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a demanding and changing work environment to achieve outcomes
- Ability to respond to sensitive customer interactions to achieve an effective outcome
- Strong knowledge of communities within the Region
- Possess or have the ability to rapidly acquire, administration skills and computer literacy
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card and successfully complete a Police Check.
