Description

One of Australia’s leading growers of baby spinach, lettuce, and baby broccoli, Bulmer Farms supplies fresh produce nationally to processors and domestic markets. We’re looking for a hands-on and detail-focused Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our Production team and help drive our food safety, quality and compliance systems across our fresh produce operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in food manufacturing, fresh produce, quality assurance or food safety systems who enjoys working closely with operations teams in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Production and Logistics Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving Bulmer Farms’ Quality Assurance systems and ensuring customer and regulatory standards are consistently achieved.

This is a varied role that combines quality systems management, production support, auditing, reporting and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and maintenance of Quality Systems including HACCP, Freshcare, GMP and customer standards
  • Conduct daily product quality assessments and production verification activities
  • Complete GMP/GAP inspections, internal audits and verification checks
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve any quality issues
  • Implement corrective actions and conduct quality investigations
  • Prepare for and lead external audits
  • Monitor critical control points and food safety compliance activities
  • Conduct environmental, water and product sampling
  • Complete quality reporting, documentation and record keeping
  • Support and train Quality Assistants and production team members
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the business

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys structure, problem-solving and maintaining high standards, while also being practical and approachable in a production environment.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in Quality Assurance within food manufacturing, processing or fresh produce
  • Knowledge of HACCP, Freshcare, GMP or food safety systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively across production and operational teams
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
  • A current driver’s licence

Formal qualifications in food science or quality systems are advantageous but not essential for the right candidate with practical industry experience.
