Trainee Educator – Children’s Services

Employment Type: 2 year traineeship, full‑time (35 hours per week)

Bogan Shire Council is seeking a motivated and caring Trainee Educator to join our Children’s Services team and complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

About the Role
As a Trainee Educator, you’ll work in the Bogan Shire Early Learning Centre, gaining practical experience while being supported by qualified educators and individual mentorship from Holistic Management and Consultancy. You’ll learn how to create safe, engaging and nurturing environments for children aged 0–5, and you’ll be guided through your studies by experienced staff.
You will:
- Complete your Certificate III through a Registered Training Organisation
- Build warm, responsive relationships with children and families
- Support educators with planning, documenting and delivering learning experiences
- Help maintain safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environments
- Assist with children’s wellbeing, comfort, routines and additional needs
- Prepare and clean learning resources, toys and equipment
- Work professionally, respectfully and confidentially at all times
About You
You’re someone who is caring, enthusiastic and genuinely interested in early childhood education. You enjoy being part of a team, you communicate well, and you’re ready to learn and grow.
You will bring:
- A genuine interest in working with children and supporting families
- Warm, caring communication skills
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage study and work commitments
- Attention to detail and sound judgement
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Completion of Year 10 (RoSA) or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current Class C, P1 or P2 driver’s licence (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
- Australian residency or valid work visa
Desirable:
- Basic computer skills (email, internet, Microsoft Office)
- Current First Aid Certificate
