We’re looking for a motivated Graduate Accountant to join our Finance team, based in our Perth CBD office. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant – Market Trading, you’ll support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting activities while developing your technical and commercial knowledge.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Preparing general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
- Supporting cash flow reporting and financial analysis.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Preparing invoices and supporting settlement activities.
- Assisting with Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- Producing financial and management reports.
- Working collaboratively with Finance, Commercial and operational stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and business efficiencies.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, curious and ready to begin a rewarding career in finance.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline (recent graduates and final-year students encouraged to apply).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- The ability to build positive working relationships and work effectively within a team.
Previous internship or practical accounting experience is desirable but not essential.
