For nearly 30 years, Health Roundtable has helped over 200 hospitals across Australia and New Zealand turn data into better patient outcomes. Australia’s largest health data and AI decision support organisation we’re now embarking on a bold digital-first transformation, and we need a strategic leader to drive it.
About the Role
Health Roundtable is at a pivotal moment. For nearly three decades, our impact has been built on deep, trusted relationships with member hospitals – valuable, but not infinitely scalable. We’re now evolving into a digital first model: intuitive dashboards, smart notifications, and AI embedded wherever it genuinely improves clinical and operational decision-making. This is a strategic investment in long-term value, not a cost-cutting exercise.
As Head of Operations & Member Experience, you’ll drive this transformation hands-on – working alongside Health Roundtable’s experts and Beamtree’s teams to turn strategy into real outcomes, all while keeping the human connection our members trust us for. If you’re ready to lead meaningful change across the ANZ health system, this is your opportunity.
What You’ll Own
- The digital enablement of Health Roundtable’s platform — working with subject matter experts, Advanced Analytics, and ICT to make data more actionable, notifications smarter, and benchmarking faster and more intuitive for members
- AI capability and natural language querying that reduce manual effort and help clinicians and health executives act on data with greater speed and confidence
- The end-to-end product roadmap — leading prioritisation with internal stakeholders, maintaining the backlog with the Technical Lead, and chairing fortnightly sprint priority and retrospective calls
- Discovery and requirements gathering, turning member feedback into user stories alongside UX design, Program Directors, and the Head of Transformation & Community
- Platform integrity and data governance — including a User Management SOP for access provisioning and review, and thematic analysis of platform incidents to identify systemic patterns across every program area
- The quarterly planning cycle, from prioritisation workshops through to delivery plans and team playbacks, tracked against the Health Roundtable Roadmap
- User acceptance testing for platform releases, owning the test plan and sign-off decision
- Member communications and change management, ensuring timely, accurate outreach around incidents and releases
- A member engagement framework, responding to feedback quarterly and representing the member voice in product and service decisions
- Strong member relationships that turn hospitals into genuine advocates for Health Roundtable
- Flagship events, including Better Together and the Innovation Showcase
- A small, high-performing team — mentoring, developing, and holding them accountable while role-modelling Health Roundtable and Beamtree’s values
What You’ll Bring
- A proven track record in transformational change and digital enablement, with the ability to translate strategy into operational delivery
- Experience leading digital product operations, including product roadmap management and backlog prioritisation
- Strong people leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate, develop, and hold accountable a small team
- Superior stakeholder management and relationship-building capability across clinical, operational, and executive audiences
- High commercial acumen and the ability to operate both autonomously and collaboratively within a complex stakeholder environment
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
Desirable
- Experience in membership organisations, professional associations, or comparable subscription-based service environments
- Demonstrated experience within the ANZ healthcare sector, with a strong understanding of the operating environment
- Familiarity with data analytics or benchmarking platforms used in healthcare settings
- Experience working with or alongside health technology vendors, clinical informatics teams, or similar
- A qualification in program management, product development, healthcare, business, or a related field
