The Forklift Driver is responsible for moving, loading, and unloading materials to aid production, utilising various forklift trucks, whilst maintaining order in storage areas and ensuring a safe work environment.

Assisting to maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities, yard, and machinery.
The Forklift Driver is responsible for the moving, loading and unloading materials to aid production, utilising various forklift trucks. Whilst maintaining order to storage areas and maintaining a safe work environment.
The Main Responsibilities Would Include:
- Preparing materials for safe loading operations, movement, transport/ shipment (external) and storage.
- Unloading materials from incoming vehicles, placing materials in assigned areas.
- Checking condition of materials during loading, unloading, and handling operations.
- Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Familiarity with industrial equipment and materials handling processes.
- Helping maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities, yard and machinery.
- Working in conjunction with other crews and lead persons.
- Maintaining responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned to the group.
- Being attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety.
- Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-worker
About You – Skills and Experience
- Forklift Licence
- Proven experience as a forklift operator
- Familiarity with industrial equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to make practical decisions under pressure, demonstrating sound judgement.
- Current Forklift Operator Licence (Australian recognised).
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- High level attention to detail
- Proficiency in time management and prioritisation of tasks
The Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to pass a functional pre-employ medical including drug and alcohol screen.
- Hold a current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
- Provide a National Police Clearance obtained within the last 6 months.
- Be health, safety and environmentally conscious
- Display a collaborative teamwork style with well-honed conflict resolution skills
- The ability to make practical decisions under pressure.
