Description

We are seeking Industrial Painters to join our team on a full-time casual basis for work on a Wind Farm Construction Project near Wellington, NSW

Roster: 21d/7d, Monday to Saturday 10hrs per day

Mobilisation: ASAP

Project Length: 18 months to 2 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for coating including cleaning, abrasive blasting, and degreasing
  • Apply protective coatings, sealants, and paints to steel structures, towers, and associated equipment
  • Interpret project specifications, technical data sheets, and coating requirements
  • Mix and apply coatings using spray, brush, and roller techniques in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
  • Conduct inspections of coatings to ensure quality, thickness, and adherence to standards
  • Carry out touch-ups, maintenance painting, and defect rectification as required
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and safe storage of hazardous materials
  • Adhere strictly to site safety, environmental, and quality procedures
  • Work collaboratively with construction and engineering teams to meet project deadlines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Industrial Painter, ideally in construction, mining, oil & gas, or renewable energy projects
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation and protective coating systems
  • Experience working with blast equipment and airless spray painting systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Strong focus on workplace health and safety practices
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and at heights

  • Construction White Card (mandatory)
  • EWP above 11metres
  • Drivers Licence (Current)
  • Working at Heights (current)
  • Confined Space (desirable)
  • High-Risk Work Licence (e.g., EWP, Forklift – desirable)
  • Protective Coatings certification (e.g., NACE, ICorr – highly regarded)
