Summary:

As an Aged Care Support Worker in Adelaide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals. This permanent, full-time position within the Health & Safety sector involves providing compassionate care and support to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your contributions will be essential in promoting independence and dignity among our aged population.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individual care plans.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential for entry-level candidates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • A genuine passion for providing care and support to the elderly.
