The Opportunity

Based in Sydney and reporting directly to the Managing Director, the General Manager will hold full P&L responsibility for our NSW operations across Mechanical and Electrical Services, including maintenance and project delivery. You will lead a significant business with an established customer base, strong market reputation, and substantial growth opportunity across both existing and emerging sectors. We are looking for a leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, developing customer relationships, driving accountability, and creating a culture where people genuinely want to succeed together.

  • Ensure projects and services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards
  • Contribute to the broader strategic direction of AE Smith and the Amplius Group

About You

You are an experienced leader within HVAC, Electrical, Building Services, or a related technical services environment. Most importantly, you are someone who leads from the front, builds trust quickly, and creates environments where teams perform at their best. You are energised by growth, motivated by building successful teams, and excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of a business with strong momentum and significant ambition.

MBA or formal leadership qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential.
