Return to Work Advisor

About the Role

Ambrose Construct Group is seeking a qualified Return to Work Advisor to support injured employees through recovery and successful return-to-work outcomes across our national business.

Reporting to the National HR & Organisation Development Manager, you will play a key role in injury management, workers’ compensation, wellbeing initiatives and WHS compliance. This position suits a proactive and people-focused professional who is passionate about supporting employee wellbeing and creating positive workplace outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage return-to-work and injury management programs for work and non-work-related injuries.
• Act as the primary contact for injured employees throughout their recovery journey.
• Develop suitable duties plans and coordinate with treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers and insurers.
• Conduct wellbeing check-ins and support early intervention strategies.
• Monitor workers’ compensation matters and liaise with HR and Payroll regarding compensation payments.
• Complete incident investigations, reporting and ergonomic assessments as required.
• Ensure compliance with workers’ compensation and WHS legislation across the business.
• Deliver return-to-work education, toolbox talks and wellbeing initiatives.
• Support psychosocial wellbeing programs, EAP initiatives and MATES in Construction training.
• Coordinate First Aid, CPR and Fire Warden training nationally.

About You

You will bring:

• A recognised Return to Work qualification (RTO accredited).
• Previous experience in return-to-work, injury management or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation and WHS legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
• Current Driver’s Licence, White Card and First Aid/CPR certification.
• Experience in the construction industry and Mental Health First Aid qualification will be highly regarded.
