About the Role
Ambrose Construct Group is seeking a qualified Return to Work Advisor to support injured employees through recovery and successful return-to-work outcomes across our national business.
Reporting to the National HR & Organisation Development Manager, you will play a key role in injury management, workers’ compensation, wellbeing initiatives and WHS compliance. This position suits a proactive and people-focused professional who is passionate about supporting employee wellbeing and creating positive workplace outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage return-to-work and injury management programs for work and non-work-related injuries.
- Act as the primary contact for injured employees throughout their recovery journey.
- Develop suitable duties plans and coordinate with treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers and insurers.
- Conduct wellbeing check-ins and support early intervention strategies.
- Monitor workers’ compensation matters and liaise with HR and Payroll regarding compensation payments.
- Complete incident investigations, reporting and ergonomic assessments as required.
- Ensure compliance with workers’ compensation and WHS legislation across the business.
- Deliver return-to-work education, toolbox talks and wellbeing initiatives.
- Support psychosocial wellbeing programs, EAP initiatives and MATES in Construction training.
- Coordinate First Aid, CPR and Fire Warden training nationally.
About You
You will bring:
- A recognised Return to Work qualification (RTO accredited).
- Previous experience in return-to-work, injury management or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation and WHS legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
- Current Driver’s Licence, White Card and First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience in the construction industry and Mental Health First Aid qualification will be highly regarded.
