We are seeking a Risk and Compliance Officer to support the delivery of risk and compliance activities across Allied Credit Group operations, including joint ventures. The role partners with stakeholders across the organisation to support risk frameworks, reporting, monitoring, advisory support, policy and process improvement, and risk culture outcomes aligned to Allied Credit’s mission, strategic focus areas and company values.
What you will be doing
- Investigate Introducer Management (IM) referrals in the Protech (InfoRM) system.
- Leverage system and business knowledge to identify root causes and form data-driven recommendations.
- Support the monthly IM Forum, including the preparation of supporting documentation and analysis.
- Effectively manage priorities, track case progress and maintain end to end visibility of cases.
- Undertake analysis of emerging trends and recurring themes and prepare insights for presentation to stakeholders.
Administrative duties of SALT Compliance and Training.
Key Duties:
- Monitor Organisation compliance training completion rates and prepare monthly reports.
- Monitor Business Manager (BM) compliance training completion rates and prepare monthly reports for Introducer Operations team.
- Manage and maintain SALT training Platform, including activating and deactivating user profiles.
Support the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Finance (AML/CTF) program of work:
Key Duties
- Review AML/CTF escalations, including KYC verification exceptions, and determine appropriate risk-based outcomes.
- Conduct PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening reviews on escalations received to identify potential matches and perform Enhanced Customer Due Diligence where required.
- Investigate transaction monitoring alerts and other potentially suspicious customer activity, escalating matters in accordance with internal procedures.
- Assist with the investigation of suspicious activity, including the preparation and submission of Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs).
- Provide guidance across enterprise-wide stakeholders on AML/CTF and Financial Crime-related matters
Your background
- Solid experience working in asset finance, ideally with an understanding of AML/KYC regulations, non-compliance risks and changing regulatory dynamics.
- Experience in transaction monitoring, incident management and breach reporting would be an advantage, it is not a requirement.
- Foundational understanding of regulator expectations and the ability to engage with regulators when required.
- Analytical mindset, strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret data.
- Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgement, take initiative and ask constructive questions to understand the root cause of issues.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engaging with senior and external business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and projects from end to end with the ability to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
