Description

Summary:

This is a hands-on role responsible for implementing a procurement and commercial management framework across the organisation. This role will drive structured proactive sourcing activities, lead commercial negotiations and ensure contracts deliver measurable value, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation. 

 

Key Responsibilities

·Defining and implementing a procurement and commercial management framework, including policies, processes, templates and governance.

·Along with functional business leaders, driving end-to-end procurement processes (RFP, RFQ, vendor selection, evaluation).

·Negotiating commercial terms and contracts to achieve optimal financial and risk outcomes.

·Partnering with business and technology leaders to manage supplier engagement and sourcing strategies. 

·Driving cost optimisation initiatives, including vendor consolidation and contract renegotiation. 

·Establishing contract management disciplines including contracts register, performance tracking, renewals and obligations management. 

·Ensuring compliance with internal policies, delegated authorities and regulatory expectations. 

·Identifying and mitigating commercial, contractual and supplier risks. 

·Building strong relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience, Skills

  • Proven experience in procurement, commercial management or strategic sourcing.
  • Strong contract negotiation experience (technology and services preferred). 
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on. 
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience working in regulated environments. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
