About the Role
This is a dedicated dental assisting career role, not a pathway or stepping-stone position. We’re looking for people who see dental assisting as their profession and want to master it alongside us, for the long term.
You’ll be:
- Providing skilled chairside assistance across a broad range of general and cosmetic procedures
- Anticipating the needs of our dentists and clinical team to ensure seamless workflow
- Managing infection control, sterilisation, and clinical protocols to the highest standard
- Operating digital scanning, intraoral photography, and practice technology with confidence
- Setting up and turning over clinical rooms efficiently, with precision and care
- Contributing to warm, calm patient experiences from the moment they’re seated
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
- Taking ownership of stock management and proactively flagging supply needs
You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
-
Either hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant, or current enrolment in a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (already qualified is, of course, welcome) — this is essential
- A genuine commitment to dental assisting as your chosen career, not a route to another profession
- Confidence across a range of clinical procedures and chair setups
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and you anticipate, not just react
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of infection control
- Warm, professional communication with patients and colleagues alike
- Impeccable presentation and a genuine pride in doing things properly
Why people love working at Adawn®
We were recently certified as a Great Place to Work®. In our team survey:
- 92% said they felt welcomed from day one
- 92% believe the service we deliver is excellent
- 92% said their work makes a difference

We’re also finalists in the 2024 and 2025 Australian Small Business Champion Awards, and in 2025 we won seven awards — including Practice Manager of the Year, Brand of the Year, and Australian Practice of the Year.
At Adawn®, your contribution will always be seen and valued. You’ll be given the space, support, and clinical variety to keep growing, in a team that genuinely invests in its people.
