We are seeking a dedicated Farm Hand to join our team in Walkamin, Queensland. This permanent, full-time position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in the agriculture industry. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting daily farm operations, ensuring the efficient management of crops and livestock while adhering to safety protocols and workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planting, cultivating, and harvesting of crops
• Operate and maintain farm machinery, including tractors and telehandlers
• Handle livestock, including poultry, with a focus on low-stress handling techniques
• Work collaboratively within a team to achieve farm objectives
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery
• Monitor crop and livestock health and report any issues to management

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field
• Experience working in a team environment on farms
• Experience operating farm machinery including tractors, light vehicles, telehandlers, and forklifts
• Experience in livestock handling including poultry and low-stress livestock handling
• Strong skills in maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery
• Ability to comply with safety protocols and workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements
