Position: Disability INTERIOR Household Service Worker

Job Overview:

A Disability Interior Household Service Worker in our company plays a vital role in providing essential support and household services to clients within the disability and vulnerable sector. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and overall household organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hygiene Focus: Maintain exceptional cleanliness in hygiene-sensitive areas such as bathrooms, toilets, and kitchens.
  • Decluttering and Organising: Assist clients in tidying up and organizing their living spaces.
  • General Dusting: Perform routine dusting tasks with a particular focus on specific areas on a rotating basis.
  • Spot Cleaning: Address high-traffic areas, including windows, walls, doors, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Floor Maintenance: Vacuuming and mopping floors to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Home Maintenance: Rotating and maintaining the entire home as per individual client needs.
  • Client-Centric Approach: Tailor services to the specific requirements of each client, understanding that tasks may vary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Empathy: Possess a deep sense of empathy and excellent people and communication skills to connect with clients effectively.
  • Physical Ability: Be physically capable of performing the duties required by the role, including lifting, and moving items as needed.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate adaptability in various environments and situations.
  • Independence: Work independently, taking initiative in executing domestic duties efficiently.
  • Understanding of NDIS: Have a sound understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to navigate client support effectively.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for client visits.
  • Successful completion of relevant background checks.
  • Minimum of 2 vaccines for Covid-19.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting client privacy.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
