Lead a settled team. Build something meaningful. Step into momentum.

Playmakers Early Learning is a family-owned 75-place service in Altona Meadows, built on a simple idea: create the kind of service we’d want for our own children.

We’re now looking for an experienced Centre Manager to lead our service and take it to the next level – with our full support.

🚀 Why Join Us?

Over the past 18 months, we’ve transformed the service:

  • Growing occupancy from 58% → 85% with strong family engagement
  • Built clear systems, structure, and operational discipline
  • Invested in service upgrades, with further capital works planned
  • Launched a monthly professional development program for educators
  • Created a supportive, cohesive, team-first culture
  • Invested in higher-than-required educator coverage across the service, enabling more intentional interactions, stronger supervision, and improved team support

You’ll be stepping into a service with strong foundations – supported by highly engaged owners and an experienced Educational Leader.

👨‍👧‍👧 A Bit About Us (The Owners)

We’re two hands-on owners – and two very invested girl dads.

We run this service with the mindset that our own children are here. That shows up in how we operate every day.

We care deeply about creating a service where every child feels safe, known, and supported – and every educator feels proud to be part of it.

🎯 About the Role

As Centre Manager, you are the operational leader of the service, responsible for delivering a safe, compliant, and high-performing service.

You’ll:

  • Lead day-to-day operations, compliance, and standards
  • Manage and oversee rosters, ensuring appropriate planning and break cover (we have recently developed a proprietary tool to help guide this dynamically)
  • Build and maintain a positive, accountable team culture
  • Create strong, trusted relationships with families
  • Drive consistency and quality across all rooms
  • Partner with the Educational Leader to align operations and curriculum

💛 Our Culture

  • Supportive, team-first environment
  • Weekly morning teas
  • Quarterly team events and celebrations
  • Owners who are accessible, responsive, and genuinely supportive
  • A leadership team that is present – not removed from the floor
  • A workplace where people feel backed, not micromanaged

🌱 About You

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within early childhood
  • Strong understanding of compliance and service operations
  • Confident communicator with a hands-on leadership style
  • Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
  • Passionate about team culture and high standards

🌈 What You’ll Get

  • Strong operational foundations already in place
  • Ongoing support from owners and leadership team
  • Opportunity to lead a growing, high-potential service
  • A positive, collaborative workplace culture
