Reviews Coordinator | Te Ara Aromatawai
Part time (20 hours per week). Permanent Position Based in Dunedin
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Reviews Coordinator to join our supportive and dedicated Connections and Funding team.
We’re looking for a compassionate and organised person who is passionate about supporting disabled people and their whānau to have greater choice and control over their lives.
In this role, you’ll coordinate review processes, work alongside disabled people, whānau, and service providers, and help ensure people are connected to the supports and resources they need to live good lives.
You’ll bring strong relationship-building skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage a busy workload. You’ll be comfortable having meaningful conversations, identifying concerns, and working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.
A commitment to person-led practice, the Enabling Good Lives vision, and an understanding of tikanga, Te Ao Māori, and Pasifika perspectives are important. You’ll also be confident using Microsoft Office and databases and ideally bring professional or lived experience within the disability community.
As a Reviews Coordinator for Your Way | Kia Roha, the successful applicant will:
- Coordinate and monitor reviews to ensure support arrangements remain effective and up to date.
- Work with disabled people, whānau, and service providers to gather information and identify any emerging needs or concerns.
- Provide information about community resources, services, and supports that contribute to good life outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational and contractual requirements.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with disabled people, whānau, community organisations, and support providers.
- Work alongside other Your Way | Kia Roha service lines to build and maintain effective relationships with iwi, hapū, Māori and Pasifika providers.
- Identify concerns relating to supports or safety and ensure these are followed up appropriately.
- Participate in Communities of Practice and contribute to continuous improvement across the organisation.
- Be confident using AI tools safely, ethically, and effectively in daily practice.
As a Reviews Coordinator for Your Way | Kia Roha, the successful applicant will:
- A strong understanding of the Enabling Good Lives vision and principles and how to apply these in practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy and the ability to build trust and connection.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to build rapport with a wide range of people and navigate sensitive conversations professionally.
- Cultural competency, including understanding of tikanga, Te Ao Māori, and Pasifika perspectives.
- Resilience, adaptability, and strong time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competence with IT systems, databases, and Microsoft Office tools, including the safe and effective use of AI.
- An understanding of disability, either professionally or through lived or whānau experience.
