We’re looking for an organised, detail focused and proactive Supply Chain Operations Coordinator to join our Hamilton team and help keep our international supply chain moving.
About the Role
This is an important and pivotal role in the business working with suppliers, freight providers, purchasing, warehousing and finance ensuring inventory arrives on time, accurately and cost effectively and moves efficiently through our international and domestic supply chain, supporting stock availability, supplier relationships, operational performance and customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, building strong relationships, managing detail and bringing structure to complex moving parts.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Coordinating international supplier shipments from purchase order through to arrival and receipt into inventory
- Managing relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs providers
- Monitoring inbound inventory movements and ensuring stock flow is managed efficiently across the supply chain
- Proactively identify and communicate delays, shortages, supply risks or shipment issues
- Reviewing shipping documentation and freight costs
- Supporting stock availability across New Zealand and Australia
- Maintain visibility of incoming stock and provide regular updates to relevant internal stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate supply chain and shipment records
- Working with internal teams to resolve supply chain issues and improve processes
- Coordinate international payment requirements with the Finance team
- Communicate clearly and proactively to ensure teams are informed and aligned
- Provide support across the wider Supply Chain team as required
About You
You will have:
- Experience in administration, coordination, supply chain, logistics, freight, purchasing or inventory roles
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent Excel and computer skills
- Experience with ERP or inventory systems
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence identifying issues, asking questions and escalating when needed
Experience in importing, distribution or wholesale businesses would be advantageous.
