Class 4 Driver – Masterton

Walter Findlay Ltd is a family-owned company who has been baking bread in Gisborne for over 100 years as well as making food coatings domestically in NZ and internationally for over 20 years. We bake and deliver bread along with a variety of other food products all the way to Masterton where we have a distribution depot for the Wairarapa.

We have a part-time opportunity available to work 30 hours per week. There may also be additional driving available on an ad hoc basis covering periods of planned and unplanned leave for the team.

You will be a Class 4 Driver delivering products to the local supermarkets and other retailers around the Masterton (on Thursdays and Fridays) and South Wairarapa (on Sundays).  

You will also be required to pack product into customer orders prior to delivering and merchandise where required.

You will need to have the following:

• Minimum of a Class 4 licence with extensive driving experience
• Forklift licence (an advantage)
• Be reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
• Be able to work well under pressure
• Experience delivering exceptional customer service
• Be physically fit to carry out the physical aspects of the role
• Accuracy and attention to detail with your documentation
• Experience with handheld technology, such as E-road, to record data
• Flexibility and willingness to provide cover for the team when needed
• The ability to work independently and be a good team member
• Eligible to work in New Zealand

Hours of work will be Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights starting at 8.30pm and working until finish which is generally around 10-11 hours.
