Description

Are you a registered Clinical Psychologist seeking a role where your expertise can make a meaningful impact across primary mental health services?

We are seeking an experienced and professional Clinical Psychologist to join our Mental Health Service, supporting individuals – particularly young adults aged 18–25 across Wellington and the Greater Wellington region.

About the role

This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive psychological assessments, evidence‑based brief interventions, and collaborative care within primary and community settings.

 

We are interested in applicants who:

  • Hold a recognised qualification, full registration, and a current practising certificate.
  • Bring recent experience in mental health and/or AOD services.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgement, assessment capability, and therapeutic skill.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Are able to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Show commitment to bi‑cultural and multi‑cultural practice and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Preferred experience includes:

  • Delivery of detailed psychological assessments (e.g., ADHD assessments).
  • Proven application of evidence‑based interventions for mild to moderate mental health needs.
  • Experience working in primary care environments.
