1.Review the role

2.Complete the application form
Complete all four parts of the Expression of Interest (EOI) form. You will be asked to:
- explain why you are interested in the promotion opportunity
- reflect on your suitability for the role
- provide examples of how your skills and experience meet the role requirements
- consider your readiness to transition into the role
- identify any areas for further development
- assess your current capability against the key capability areas of the role
3.Submit your application
Once you have completed the form, upload your EOI application form where you would normally upload a CV. Please check that you have completed all sections before submitting your application.
4.Attend a panel interview
Your EOI application will be assessed, and you will be invited to attend a panel interview as part of the promotion pathway process.
5.Receive the outcome
Once the assessment process is complete, your People Manager will meet with you to discuss the outcome of your application and provide feedback.

Job Description – Test Consultant Level 3

Position: Test Consultant Level 3
Reports to: Principal Consultant
Direct Reports: Nil
Position Summary
The Test Consultant is responsible for delivering professional testing services to TTC clients. This role applies to all testing services offered by TTC including (but not limited to):
- Development and execution of functional testing(UI, API and Database)
- Implementing Test Automation solutions(Test Data, SV, Automated Test Cases)
The Test Consultant can switch between traditional and agile project methodologies and is able to lead and provide mentoring for both TTC and client teams. Additionally, the Test Consultant has experience from working across multiple industries and application technologies.
The Test Consultant understands the importance of applying Test Automation to increase the delivery efficiency of software testing even if they do not specialise in the delivery of Test Automation.
Description – Roles of the Test Consultant

Senior Test Analyst – primary role of functional testing. The Senior Test Analyst uses professional testing methodologies, experiences, and principles to:
- dissect and challenge business requirement and execute functional UI testing
- apply the same testing methodologies and principles to execute non-UI and automated test cases
- provide leadership across projects and junior staff

Test Lead – Providing guidance on best practice methods and approaches:
- Responsible for leading and supporting testing activities and test infrastructure
- Assist with planning and delivery of enterprise test programmes
- Assist with mentoring other test team member and resources engaged in the test process
- Assist with development of Test Plans/processes

Senior Test Engineer– The key to applying functional test automation:
- uses tools to increase the efficiency of testing including automating test case execution, provisioning and generation of test data, and service virtualisation.
- provides technical support and consulting for the wider test team.

- Provide reporting/feedback to TTC which may result in expansion of the TTC brand
- Contribute to improving TTC internal processes and capability by providing feedback, present learnings and being present part of team discussions
Personal Development
- Actively participate in planning own work programme (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly basis)
- Provide monthly reporting to Manager
- Identify what is required to deliver and develop
- Set new objectives to develop and grow
Policies, Practice and Culture
- Understand and follow TTC IT policies and practices
- Code of Conduct, HR and Health and Safety policy compliance
- Participate in the company’s on-going performance and development planning and review processes
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Role related experience
- 5+ years hands on experience and exposure to all types of testing.
- Strong technical skills essential, must be able to analyse and understand technically diverse application architectures
- Excellent analytical skills essential, must be able to identify areas of non-functional risk within an application and design an appropriately comprehensive test strategy
- Firm grasp on the aspects of an automation test methodology
- Experience with a variety of platforms e.g. client server and mainframe is important
- Extensive experience in the ICT industry
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of all aspects of the SDLC & ISTQB test standards and terminology.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases
- Non-Functional testing experience – load, performance and/or stress testing
- Technical knowledge and understanding of relational databases, web services, messaging, stubbing and Unix commands
- Experience with a variety of manual and automation testing tools i.e. QC, SOAPUI, Tosca Test Suite, QTP, Concordian.
Qualifications
- ISTQB Certified
- TOSCA Certification (or pending)
- Relevant Industry Qualifications i.e. Agile Certification desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering desirable.
