About the Opportunity

AI is changing how businesses work, bringing exciting opportunities alongside new security challenges. We’re looking for someone who wants to help us navigate both.

We’re looking for a Security & AI Solutions Engineer to build on Truescape’s strong security foundations while continuing to embed AI in practical and responsible ways across the business.

Reporting to the Head of Digital & Technology, you’ll play an important role in delivering Truescape’s Security and AI Strategy. You’ll work across our infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, and AI technologies to strengthen our security posture and implement AI solutions that deliver real business value. Working alongside technical teams and business leaders, you’ll balance innovation with good governance, strong security, and practical business outcomes.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. You’ll spend your time protecting and improving our technology environment while helping the business evaluate, implement and govern AI solutions.

You will:

  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events while helping strengthen Truescape’s overall security posture.
  • Maintain and improve security across our AWS and Microsoft environments, including identity, access management, and cloud security services.
  • Conduct security reviews of software, SaaS platforms, AI technologies, and third-party solutions before implementation.
  • Support security governance and compliance aligned with frameworks such as NIST CSF and CMMC Level 1.
  • Evaluate, implement, and support AI solutions that improve productivity while ensuring they are secure, well governed, and used responsibly.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to assess risk, explore options, and implement security solutions that enable the business while protecting our people, systems, and data.
  • Champion security awareness and responsible AI adoption across the organisation.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and AI developments, recommending improvements that strengthen our capability over time where they add value.

About You

You might come from a cybersecurity background with an interest in AI, or perhaps you’ve been working with AI technologies and have developed strong security knowledge. Either way, you’re someone who enjoys solving complex problems and understands that great security is about enabling the business, not slowing it down. You know how to assess risk, work collaboratively with stakeholders, and recommend practical solutions that balance security, usability, and business outcomes. You’re equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to investigate a security issue as you are identifying opportunities where AI can improve the way people work.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, cloud infrastructure, AI technologies, or a related field.
  • A solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge of security principles including identity management, endpoint security, vulnerability management, incident response, or cloud security.
  • Experience assessing technology solutions and balancing security with business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach that balances innovation, security, and business needs, with a genuine curiosity about emerging technology.

Bonus points if you have experience with:

  • CrowdStrike or similar EDR/XDR platforms.
  • AWS security services.
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework or CMMC.
  • AI implementation, governance, or security.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or Microsoft security certifications.

Don’t tick every box?

That’s okay.

This role represents where we’d like to grow our capability, not a checklist of everything you must already know. If your experience is stronger in either security or AI, and you’re excited to develop the other area, we’d still encourage you to apply.
