We’re not just about vehicles – we’re about experiences, and we’re proud of the team that makes them possible. Now, we’re on the lookout for a Domestic Technician to join our Christchurch Airport branch on a casual basis and help us keep our fleet clean, safe, and road-trip ready.
What You’ll Be Doing?
As a Domestic Technician, you’ll be the first point of care for our motorhomes and campervans once they return from a customer journey. Your primary purpose will be to complete minor repairs and ensure vehicles meet Travvia’s high presentation and safety standards.
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the customer experience, ensuring our travellers begin and end their adventures with confidence and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor domestic repairs and maintenance on returned vehicles
- Ensure all work is completed to Travvia’s compliance and quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of completed work
- Assist with operational support across the branch
- Support mechanics where required
- Respond professionally to customer questions or concerns during drop-off
- Escalate unresolved issues or vehicle concerns to management
- Uphold a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
What We’re Looking For?
- A good general knowledge of car mechanics
- A strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A valid NZ full driver’s licence
- A proactive mindset and ability to work independently
- The ability to work rostered shifts, including weekends
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- Previous experience in tourism, automotive, or customer-facing roles is a bonus
- Comfortable using email and basic computer systems
