Description

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Specialist to manage inwards and dispatch operations within our manufacturing facility in Henderson, Auckland. This fixed term role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products, contributing to our overall production goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising logistics processes and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the inwards and dispatch processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to support production requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and transport providers to optimise logistics operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Implement and monitor logistics procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to shipments, including customs paperwork and delivery notes.
  • Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior logistics staff.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
