Logistics Specialist – Driver

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Specialist – Driver to join our team in Levin, Manawatu. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for ensuring the efficient transportation and delivery of materials within the building and construction industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our supply chain operations, contributing to the overall success of our projects and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to various job sites in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and safety standards.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to schedule deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and condition of materials.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to provide updates on delivery status.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Zealand driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in logistics or transportation, preferably within the building and construction industry.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to transport.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Physical fitness to handle manual tasks associated with loading and unloading materials.
