At The Instillery, we’re proud of being different: in our size, our approach, our people and our brand. We’re a passionate, diverse team of genuinely good humans who care deeply about delivering first-class technology outcomes for our clients.
We’re now looking for an Agile Project Manager to join us and play a key role in delivering complex, high-quality digital projects across our client base.
The role
As an Agile Project Manager, you’ll take a holistic view of our customers beyond traditional projects with fixed start and end dates. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of well-run, profitable outcomes by managing evolving priorities through live backlogs. You’ll lead best-practice project delivery, addressing technical debt and supporting continuous improvement to ensure exceptional results for both our clients and our teams.
The Team
Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, you will work within a matrixed environment, collaborating closely with our Technical Operations, Customer Operations, and Sales teams to bridge the gap between business strategy and technical outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies (such as Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives) tailored to each client’s specific engagement model and maturity.
- Proactively managing and prioritising evolving customer requirements, ensuring backlog health and alignment with both business value and technical sustainability.
- Applying Agile Pragmatism to determine the right delivery approach (Pure Agile vs. Hybrid) based on client needs, while balancing speed, quality, and risk management.
- Acting as a bridge between technical teams and customer stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business-relevant insights while demonstrating context-switching to support multiple customers.
- Owning project outcomes, including end-to-end delivery management, financial oversight, and providing data-driven reporting including root-cause analysis and resolution strategies.
- Collaborating with engineers to remove blockers, resolve friction points between capacity and demand, and address technical debt to support continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ experience managing medium to large ICT projects.
- Proven ability to deliver modernisation and transformation initiatives across Cloud, Data, Modern Work, and Networks.
- Strong Negotiation skills to balance customer requirements with delivery team priorities.
- Confidence with adaptive planning, iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
- A disciplined approach to risk and mitigation management, with the ability to identify potential delivery challenges early.
- A drive to continuously learn and build your understanding of the technical landscape, ensuring your planning and collaboration with engineers remain relevant and impactful.
What we offer
- Competitive salary and benefits, including birthday leave, an Instillery Day and mobile allowance
- A supportive, down-to-earth team and genuinely great culture
- Ongoing professional development, including training, certifications and industry events
- Central offices with a hybrid working model (some set days in the office)
- Flat management structure with fast,practical decision-making
