About our role

Based along the pristine coastline of Te Arai, our Duty Manager will work seamlessly with our Guest Services & Hospitality Manager to ensure our team provide a world class experience for members and guests.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise daily shifts in the Front Office, ensuring all team members adhere to standard operating procedures
  • Check-in guests, handle their requests and taking reservations
  • Reconcile accounts, process invoices and reports at end of day
  • Ensure safety and security of guests
  • Respond to guest complaints, requests, and emergencies in the absence of the Guest Services & Hospitality Manager

About you

Key experience and attributes that will contribute to your success include:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in the high-end, luxury service industry (preferably hotel/guest services experience)
  • Relevant supervisory experience
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with accounting and facilities management software
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal communication skills
  • Superb guest service and teamwork
  • Vibrancy and the ability to have fun, while still maintaining professionalism and working hard
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision
  • A positive, “can-do” attitude, and a hands-on operator who is proactive, reliable and hardworking
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the travel and hospitality industry
  • Full understanding of required sequence and standards for a high-end operation
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends
  • Drivers Licence
