We’re a New Zealand owned and operated finance company who have been helping everyday Kiwis with lending for over 20 years. We’re looking for a Casual Customer Service Consultant to
join our Wellington region team.
What’s the role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working with different teams in a
fast-paced customer environment. You’ll provide support across our Wellington region branches, helping cover peak periods, planned and unplanned leave, and roster gaps, so rostered hours may vary week to week depending on operational needs. You’ll begin your training in our Wellington branch before expanding to support our Porirua and Lower Hutt branches once you’re up and running.
Your day could include:
Customer Service & Lending
- Delivering excellent customer service and building positive relationships with customers
- Assisting customers through the lending process, including loan applications and valuing items used as lending security
- Determining lending outcomes and preparing loan documentation
Account Management
- Managing customer loan accounts by monitoring activity and liaising with customers regarding payments
- Negotiating payment arrangements and supporting account changes where required
Online Sales & Auction Management
- Testing, preparing, and listing goods for sale through our online auction platform
- Communicating with buyers, reconciling payments and coordinating shipping
About you
Because this role supports operational needs and changing rosters, no two days are the same! You’ll need to be comfortable switching between tasks while continuing to deliver great service. We’re looking for someone who is practical, adaptable, and enjoys solving problems.
You’ll bring:
- Previous customer service experience
- The ability to learn processes quickly and apply training
- Strong attention to detail and good common sense
- Confidence working with different teams and customers
- A proactive, can-do attitude
- Good street smarts and sound judgment
- The ability to stay calm, flexible, and keep a
sense of humour when things get busy
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or other
customer-facing roles is a bonus. However, the right attitude and willingness
to learn are just as important.
