Driver – Class 2

Are you a skilled and motivated Class 2 Driver looking for an exciting new opportunity? Smart Environmental is seeking a dedicated team member to join our Rolleston-based team and support our mission to recycle tyres efficiently and responsibly.

Smart Environmental Limited works on behalf of local councils, businesses, and communities across New Zealand. Acquired by Blue Planet, our mission is to divert waste from landfill, and with a large fleet of collection vehicles and line haul operations, we are committed to driving sustainability for the communities and businesses we serve.

Key responsibilities: As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the collection and transportation of used tyres from various locations to our recycling facility. Your duties will include:

• Safely operating a Class 2 vehicle.

• Loading and unloading tires.

• Ensuring timely and efficient collection routes.

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

• Maintaining accurate records of collections and deliveries.

• Adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.

Skills and experience:

• Holds a NZ Class 2 driver’s license or equivalent

• Experience in driving heavy licensed vehicles

• Clean driving record.

• Physically Fit – Ability to lift and move heavy tires.

• Good communication skills.

• Commitment to safety and environmental standards
