Collections/Loader Driver

Smart Environmental Limited works on behalf of local councils, businesses, and communities across New Zealand. Acquired by Blue Planet, our mission is to divert waste from landfill, and with a large fleet of collection vehicles and line haul operations, we are committed to driving sustainability for the communities and businesses we serve.

About the role:

• Location: Richmond
• Hours of work: 40 Hours per week
• Days of Work: 5 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles for recycling and refuse collection services
• Operate forklifts and loaders in accordance with safety procedures and guidelines
• Conduct daily pre-start and post-operation vehicle inspections
• Accurately record and maintain data using EROAD and logbooks

Skills and experience:

• Holds a NZ Class 4 driver’s license or equivalent
• Experience in driving heavy licensed vehicles, including forklifts and loaders
• Wheels, Tracks and Rollers Endorsement
• Can work individually and in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Confident using technology (phone / tablet)
• Good level of fitness as you will be getting in and out of truck multiple times
• Clean NZ Driving Record
