FundTap helps small businesses navigate intermittent cashflow timing gaps, allowing them to cover unexpected costs or take advantage of growth opportunities. A funding model built to ensure business owners are in control over what they fund, and when. We’ve been profitable from the start, and we’re on a mission to unlock $1 billion in growth for small businesses across New Zealand and Australia. We’ve grown by almost 700% in the last 4 years and are looking for the next person to help us achieve our ambitious goals.

Our brokers and advisers already send us some of our best business. Referred clients trust us faster and fund larger, and they convert well above direct. That channel is proven. It’s also under-tapped. That’s the opportunity.

As FundTap’s Partner Manager, you’ll own our referral partnerships end-to-end: finance brokers and advisers (accountants, bookkeepers and business advisers) across New Zealand and Australia. You’ll grow the network, re-activate partners who’ve gone quiet, and turn a promising adviser channel into a real engine. You’ll carry the channel’s growth number and be the named person partners rely on.

We’re looking for someone ambitious, entreprenurial and with a willingness to take ownership of this critical part of our business. We operate with significant trust and autonomy and the new Partner Manager will have the opportunity to really shape this part of the business moving forward.

As FundTap’s Partner Manager, your role will encompass

  • Owning the relationships. You’re the person brokers and advisers call, and you make them look good to their clients.
  • Growing and activating the network. So more partners refer, more often.
  • Building the adviser channel. Accountants, bookkeepers and business advisers, turned into something repeatable.
  • Supporting referrals into funded customers. And hitting the growth number for the channel.
  • Being the partner’s voice inside FundTap. Shaping the tools, communications and reporting they need.

What you’ll bring

  • A track record of building relationships that turn into revenue across finance, SaaS, partnerships or B2B sales.
  • The drive to own something and grow it, not just keep it ticking over.
  • Commercial instinct: you understand how a referral becomes a funded deal, and you can hold your own with brokers and accountants.
  • Pipeline discipline: you follow up on the moments that matter and keep your CRM honest.
  • Self-starter energy, comfortable with outreach and working autonomously in a small, ambitious team.

Preferred experience

  • Experience in partnerships, channel sales, business development or account management.
  • Comfort with a CRM (we use HubSpot).
  • An understanding of invoice finance, SME cashflow or lending is an advantage, not a must.
  • Familiarity with the New Zealand and/or Australian broker and adviser landscape is a plus.
  • The ability to travel throughout New Zealand and occasionally to Australia to further develop relationships in person.
