Business Development Manager – Plumbing Industry (Auckland)

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives within the plumbing, building, and construction sector across Auckland.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an ambitious individual who thrives on identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding market presence. You will play a key role in representing our portfolio of premium international plumbing brands and contributing to the ongoing success of the business.

Experience engaging with Asian business communities would be highly advantageous, particularly the ability to understand cultural nuances and build long-term, trust-based partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the plumbing and construction sectors
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and product solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reporting on market conditions
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions

About You

  • Proven experience in business development or sales (plumbing, building, or construction industry preferred)
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to engage with diverse client groups, including Asian business communities (highly desirable)
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Plumbing product knowledge is advantageous

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not essential with relevant experience)
